Emme Hall’s ingenious sponsorship proposal to Dr. Pepper

Take a seat and fasten your seatbelt because Emme Hall is about to take you on a mini ride of awesome. A few weeks ago during our interview on MotoIQ, I spoke about different ways drivers and teams can “act outside the box” to get the attention of potential sponsors. Half of you probably dozed off during the interview, but without a doubt, Ms. Emme was paying attention.

In a nutshell, Emme Hall is an incredibly charismatic young women with bright pink hair, a constant smile and a passion for racing that’ll make Voldemort’s knees buckle. You may have even seen her on a little show called RoadFly (……. RhoadFly). With the season fast approaching and their new 2/1600 car ready to get dirtly, Emme and Hall Ass Racing knew they had to do something special in order to get seen by potential sponsors. Emme’s love affair for Dr.Pepper made it a simple decision to target her efforts. The result is this brilliant idea you see below. I’ll let Emme doing the talking. Just hit play on the video below and she’ll the thought process and details of it all.

At this point, you’re probably wondering if she got the sponsorship, aren’t you. Of course you are? Truth is, we don’t know yet. Her car was received by Dr. Pepper earlier this week which means we play the waiting game. Despite the result, there is not doubt Emme’s proposal will leave a lasting, positive impression on the C-Levels at Dr. Pepper. We’ll certainly keep you all updated as to the progress. In the meantime, get your gears turning and start acting outside the box.

Missed our MotoIQ Radio interview? Never fear, the internet is here.

You know whats great about the internet? Even though you might have missed our interview on MotoIQ Radio the other day, you can still listen to it because, as the saying goes, “the internet never forgets”. Yet again, we really enjoyed being on the show. We were able to cover a lot of info in a very short period of time. Sponsorships vs Partnerships, standing out from the crowd, social media, who to talk to for a sponsorship, websites and a lot more.

Shortly after the show, we received a MP3 copy and began creating a video for it. Not to toot our own horn, but the video was quite amusing. The problem was, however, that it was taking way too long to produce. So rather than having you guys wait another week just for a few LOLs, we figured it would best to just release it anyway. After all, the interview is 42mins long and most of us play the audio in the background anyway. That said, a video and MP3 version of the show are below. YouTube, the irreplaceable time waster. It sucks you in with amazing videos of cats doing ridiculous things, a kid getting into crazy shenanigans with his skateboard and people with their own shows that receive more views than Jimmy Falon’s nightly show. In the world of Motorsports, general business or just someone wanting to create a name for themselves, there are many ways to utilize the site. In these next few posts you will gain a better understanding of how to use it to you and your company’s benefit. What most people forget is that YouTube can make you a bright shiny STAR — people like the hilarious Philip DeFranco, the annoying Fred (who actually has done movies and guest appearances on TV) and the Shaytards all get paid by YouTube to make their shows. Will Cannady and the fine folks at MotoIQ Radio have given us the pleasure of an encore interview this Wednesday. During our last interview we ended the show with the intention of returning to talk about businesses and how they can benefit to proper branding and social media. However, after the fantastic feedback from you guys we are going to go into deeper detail with sponsorships and sponsorship proposals. We may dabble in the subject of online presence as well.

What will be said will probably piss you off, question your dedication and/or make you cry (“There’s no crying in baseball!”). Don’t worry though. Clean up on Isle 3….

It was Tuesday December 27th. Just two days after Christmas when NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne decided to head to the supermarket for some grub. Upon entering said grocery store Kahne witnessed something that disturbed him and wanted to fill his fans in on what he had just witnessed. Little did he know the madness that was about to rein upon him from fans and other onlookers from those few tweets.

Performance Racing Industry

Every year at the beginning of December the racing industry invades one of Orlando’s Convention Center buildings. PRI was described to me at the show as “the racers SEMA.” Geared more towards the actual performance of the car and not the appearance that SEMA has become known for. We made the trek down to Orlando on Nov 29th to ensure we were there for the famed Industry Roundtable discussion that was happening the day before the show started.

In Orlando for PRI

Its COLD! Snow is starting to fall in certain regions and if you are like me, you despise cold. You would much rather be in 70 degree Florida weather wouldn’t you? Of course you would. Well it just so happens that the PRI Show in Orlando, FL is this weekend and we are there to shake a few hands and share some racing stories. (Read: Hide y0 kids, Hide y0 wife). Its nice and warm and there’s lots going on including discussions, round tables, Tweet-ups and much more. Of course, if you can’t make it we will “poor one out for our homies”. You can, however, live vicariously through us via our Facebook and/or Twitter. We’ll be posting pictures and updates of what’s going on. Hope to see you all there!

Atlanta Shenanigans

This past weekend Chris and I headed down to Atlanta to help S2 Events with a drift event. Their “Sliding into Home” event is the last event in 2011 and we wanted to hang out with everyone one last time before winter. We woke up bright and early, and by bright and early I mean reluctantly and entirely too early to be up on a Saturday, at 5am to get ready head to Turner Field.
