Income Report: March 2008
As I mentioned in my first income report, Ive begun to keep track of how much money we are making online. And to be honest, this month’s report is somewhat disappointing in some ways, but the complete opposite in others. To start off, I knew that this years advertising income was going to be significantly lower from last months due to the fact that most of last months advertising was comprised of sign-on bonuses. We didn’t have that luxury this month. Further more, several of our blogs haven’t been updated on a regular basis; this one included. And on top of that, Ive for the most part completely dropped my www.iheartresources.com project. Chances are I’ll end up selling that site. Instead, I started another blog that I am far more passionate about; Rhoad Racing which will document my adventures in automotive racing (more specifically, “drifting”).
On the flip side, FemaleRacingNews.com is doing much better than it was last month. The majority of our viewers are being referred via Google searches which is excellent. These referred viewers are the ones we want because they are actually interested in the sites subject matter compared to Social Media site referrals. The word is starting to spread about the site which can only be a good thing. Im looking forward to see how it does over the next month.

So, although our advertising income with significantly less than last month’s, we were fortunate enough to pull in some freelance sales. All in all, Im pretty happy with the way things are going. I know this process takes times, but Im working on some stuff to speed it up a bit. We’ll see if I succeed next month.
